Veneers
Veneers represent one of the most significant advancements in modern dentistry, providing a solution for improving the appearance of teeth with minimal invasiveness. Prior to the widespread use of veneers, options for addressing issues like discoloration, minor misalignments, and chips were limited.
A veneer is a thin, custom-made shell designed to cover the front surface of a tooth. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth, changing their color, shape, size, or length, and resulting in a natural, aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Veneers are often made from porcelain or resin composite materials, each offering distinct benefits. Porcelain veneers resist stains better and mimic the light-reflecting properties of natural teeth, while resin veneers are thinner and require less removal of the tooth surface.
This innovative approach allows for a beautiful, confident smile with minimal alteration to the natural teeth, making veneers a popular choice for those seeking cosmetic dental improvements.

What's Involved?
Record Taking, Photos, and Measurements
Before jumping directly into cosmetic cases, our approach is to make sure you are having all of your concerns addressed and recognized as well as making sure all potential options are discussed. Photographs, a digital scan, and measurements of the teeth and gum tissues are taken. A smile design, or cosmetic wax-up, may then be created to show what the ending result potentially can be which will allow you to know if this type of procedure is right for you.
Preparation of the Teeth
In most cases, but not all, an adjustment or preparation of the teeth needs to be done to clean up any fractures, remove old restorations, address alignment concerns, or provide space to make sure the final result exceeds the desired cosmetic dreams. A digital scan will then be taken of the teeth, replacing the previously used "goopy" impressions, to then send to our cosmetic technicians to begin creating the veneers. This may take 2-3 weeks, thus a temporary restoration is created and bonded into place that mimics the smile design. This will give you the chance to see the teeth in place with the expected shape and fit of what the final restorations will be. This also gives you the chance to easily make changes, which information can then be relayed to our technicians, to further customize the final result.
Placement of Final Restorations
Upon receipt of the veneers from our cosmetic technicians, the temporary appliance will be removed and the final restorations will be tried in and bonded into place. Photographs will be taken once again to then be able to provide a full "Before/After" view of what has changed for you. Everyone in the office gets very excited about these cases as procedures like this can be life-changing, so don't be surprised if the entire team want to join with you in celebrating the results.
