What's Involved?
Preparation of the Teeth/Implants
Whether the bridge restoration is placed upon natural teeth or implants, the process is very similar. Proper spacing needs to be created and parallel alignment needs to be achieved to make sure a single restoration can be placed directly upon our supporting foundations (natural teeth or implants). This will be achieved by either reducing the natural teeth in the same process as creating a crown on the teeth, or a scan will be taken of the implants to be used.
Immediate Placement or Temporary Creation
In natural teeth that include a total of 3 teeth, there may be the ability to immediately place a final restoration with our in-office ceramic milling machine. If the span is too large or requires a greater level of cosmetics, a temporary restoration may be placed to provide a functional result while the final restoration is being made by our technicians.
Final Placement
If a temporary needed to be used, this will now be removed and the final restoration will be tried in and either cemented or bonded into place to create an ending result you can be confident in and proud of. If the bridge is being placed upon implants, the cover screws on the implants will be removed and the restoration will be screwed into place to make sure you are able to chew what you WANT to chew instead of what you have been able to chew in the past.
